These no-bake bites are a great snack or sweet treat! They're so easy to make and filled with fiber, protein, healthy fats, antioxidants and more. My kids and husband love them (as do I) and I typically double the recipe because they're gone so fast.
These are also great for nursing and pumping mama's as they can potentially help increase milk production. If you'd like to make them into "lactation" balls, you could add 1-2 Tablespoons of brewer's yeast to them as well.
Ingredients
-
1 cup whole rolled oats or old fashion oats
-
½ cup sunflower butter (or peanut butter)
-
½ cup flaxseed
-
½ cup chocolate chips
-
⅓ cup honey
-
2 Tablespoons chia seeds
-
1 teaspoon cinnamon
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Add all ingredients to a large bowl and use a spoon or spatula to combine.
You can either form the balls now and then chill them or chill the mixture for an hour and then form the balls. I like to chill the mixture for an hour and then form the balls, it takes a little more time but isn’t as messy.
I keep mine in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator! These freeze well.
Recipe Note
If you'd like to make them into "lactation" balls, you could add 1-2 Tablespoons of brewer's yeast to them as well.
Double the batch and keep some in the freezer!
