These "pigs in a blanket" are what I like to think of as a 'fancy' spin on the originals! 4 ingredients, 30 minutes and you have yourself a tasty bite that can be served for a variety of occasions!
Ingredients
-
Thinly sliced ham (I use Black Forest)
-
1 round or wedge of Brie
-
Jam of choice (I use Bonne Maman)
-
1 package crescent rolls
Directions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, as the cheese and jam might leak out during baking (which is totally fine, mine do), and preheat your oven according to the crescent roll package.
Unroll crescent roll dough and cut into individual triangles.
Place a piece or half a piece of rolled ham at the widest end of the triangle, then add a slice of brie on top, followed by a spoonful of jam.
Roll the crescent triangle up, starting with the ham end, and wrapping tightly to form your “pigs in a blanket.” Again, it’s okay if a little jam leaks out!
Repeat the process, assembling all the rolls. Once all the pigs in a blanket are assembled on the parchment-lined baking sheet, bake according to crescent roll package instructions.
Remove from oven, cut off any melted cheese and let cool before serving.
